Hi,
I have lost admin password to login through webconsole, I have enabled SSH to the device. Please suggest me how to reset admin(webconsole) password through SSH root login.
Thanks,
Raju
Hi Raju,
yes you can reset it through SSH:
passwd adminstore-passwd.sh
Hope that helps.
Best Regards,
Uli
Tried to set up ftp server and now when trying to ssh in:
BusyBox v1.00-pre1 (2009.05.07-06:36+0000) Built-in shell (ash)
Enter ‘help’ for a list of built-in commands.
It is dead there at this time. Any clue what happedned? Doesn’t seem reasonable that setting up ftp would do anything to the fonz-plug set up. I have .5 installed.
You have taken the wrong port
21 is FTP
22 is SSH with built-in SFTP.
Best Regards,
Uli
Not sure what you mean…I set up the FTP Server with the Webpage and didn’t change anything for ssh. I use putty to ssh to the box. And yes, the FTP Server is set to port 21. Is it going to the right busybox?
PS…I forgot to say, when I ssh it lets me in then gives me: BusyBox v1.00-pre1 (2009.05.07-06:36+0000) Built-in shell (ash)
Enter ‘help’ for a list of built-in commands. It’s effectively dead.
Ok, Got in with:
ssh root@fileserver /ffp/bin/sh redid the usermods and store-passwd.sh and all appears ok. Setting the ftp server to the root changed the home dirs. It also was going to the DNS-s original Busybox. Hopefully all is well now.
Please the harddisk on my NAS is full. If I remove the disk I can view the status from Disk Management unitily on windows. However, I cannot access the disk from the mapped locations and even when I try logging into the device using the web interface. It throws me out saying username/password incorrect and I dont hv a backup of the data in the NAS-323
Hi, don’t worry your data is still on the nas. You can reset your NAS (except the harddisks with your data) by holding the reset button on the back more than 10 seconds. Then search and configure your NAS as usual.
Best Regards,
Uli
Hi, I want to remote access the FTP server from DNS 321 server and connect to an internert FTP server and start transfers and let the transfer to be executed after I turn off my remote access. To access and start the “FXP like transfer” I want o use my iPhone…. Any idea in how to achieve this?
Cannot Stream From my DLink DNS323 Anymore
I have a DNS-323 and wanted to stream my videos that are on it to my smart TV and iPad.
This worked after I enabled the UPnP server on the DNS-323 and pointed him to a ‘Multimedia’ folder in which my videos were located.
Everything worked fine, but I noticed after a while that new videos and folders weren’t shown on my TV or iPad.
I tried several things (refreshing, selected the root again, rebooting the DNS-323, …) but nothing worked.
Now, when I try to access the videos on the DNS-323, I both get on my TV and iPad the message that there are no files/videos to shown.
When I access the DNS-323 via my PC, there is no problem, I see all files.
My DNS-323 has firmware version 1.07. Preferably I would a solution.
Does anyone has a solution for my problem ?
Hi, I’m in the US which may make a difference, but the latest firmware I have is 1.09.
I have a d-link with locked files, is it possible to unlock the files so they can be copied and opened for use.
